Becoming Blondy

There is potential, fire, in us that only comes out when we are stretched

Blondy Otu

“BEING CONFIDENT OF THIS, THAT HE WHO BEGAN A GOOD WORK IN YOU WILL CARRY IT ON TO COMPLETION UNTIL THE DAY OF CHRIST JESUS” PHILIPPIANS 1:6

I have been a wife, I’m still a mother, a sister, a granddaughter and a daughter to strong woman Mrs. Grace Otu.
I feel so blessed to be alive. To have survived all the blows life has dealt me up until now. I am extremely grateful to God for this milestone. I feel so fulfilled with my current job, setting up my own businesses, impacting lives and helping humanity.

I appreciate my family support. I come from a close-knit family. When my father passed, my mother made sure her children were always united and provided for. My family has been my bedrock throughout the years. My mother is my biggest inspiration. She’s such a strong, godly and hardworking woman.

My biggest life achievement is motherhood. My happiest memories have been the birth of my children. My daughter is thirteen and my son is eleven. My goal is to train and guide them to follow biblical principles and to be able to cater for and nurture them the best way possible. I want them to grow to become good citizens and role models for their generation.

I am very proud of the woman I am becoming and ready to confidently show her off to the world!
I feel like I am living the best version of myself right now that I have discovered my purpose and I’m working towards fulfilling that purpose. I feel blessed and content!

I am proud of myself that against all odds I have stood by the grace of God. I am also grateful that at forty years, a single mother of two children, I have persevered and I now own my own businesses and my own home. I attribute this achievement to the goodness of God and my lineage of strong god-fearing and hardworking women. (Grandma and Mum)

In this life everyone has their own cross to carry, their own path to tread and their own life to live. Don’t be bitter, jealous or envious of anyone. God put in each of us special and different abilities and a purpose to fulfill in life. That should be our main reason for existence.

“The beginning of everything is God. All good things find their beginning in Him and without Him nothing good exists. Every new day with God births the dawn of new and better possibilities.”

What matters is life because as long as there is life there is hope. It doesn’t matter what you weren’t able to do yesterday, just make today count!

If you are determined, you cannot change your past but you can change your future by the decision you make today.

“Only as high as I can reach can I grow, only as far as I seek can I go, only as deep as I look can I see, only as much as I dream can I be.”

I believe in self-development so I am currently studying at CEIBS Ghana, (Women Entrepreneurship & Leadership for Africa.) This program is eye-opening and equips women entrepreneurs to grow their businesses successfully and to network with other women entrepreneurs across Africa. I have met many wonderful women on this course and built new relationships and networks as well as gained a wealth of knowledge that would benefit my business decisions. I don’t have any regrets! I thank God for how far He has brought me and where He is taking me. I am excited for the next decade because I am confident in who I am walking into it with. He picked me up from the miry clay and set my feet on a rock to stay. What do I have that didn’t come from Him? With this assurance I press into this new chapter knowing that IT CAN ONLY GET BETTER.

I AM BLONDY OTU! I WANT PEOPLE TO REMEMBER ME AS GOD-FEARING, BEAUTIFUL, KIND, HUMBLE, RESPECTFUL, LOYAL, CONTENT AND INDOMITABLE!
